UW-RF Offers Small Business Advising in Pierce County
Free individual business advising sessions will be held at the Pierce County
Extension Office in Ellsworth, Wis., on Thursday, Oct. 28 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
sponsored by the PCEO and the Small Business Development Center at UW-River
Falls.
The session will offer specialized assistance to small business managers as
well as to those interested in starting new businesses. Individual appointments,
approximately 75 minutes in length, will be scheduled between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
To register, call the SBDC at 715-425-0620 by Wednesday, Oct. 27.
The sessions are designed for any one who would like to discuss plans for starting
or expanding a business, or who have problems in any area of business management.
More than 300 managers of prospective and existing small business firms have
been served in the area since the start of the business advising program. These
represent a wide variety of manufacturing, retailing and service companies,
as well as individuals wishing to start new businesses.
The Pierce County UW-Extension Office has partnered with the business specialist
from the Small Business Development Center Office at UW-River Falls. The SBDC
also offers a variety of business classes at UW-River Falls. For full course
