UW-RF College of Business and Economics Hosts Celebration
Week
An alumni celebration week has been planned by the College of Business and Economics
for Oct. 18-23.
In celebration of Homecoming week at UW-RF, CBE will host alumni from each
of the college's eight undergraduate majors who hail from companies and organizations
in the Twin Cities and western Wisconsin. Alumni guests will visit classes and
college events to discuss careers and career opportunities with students.
Other scheduled activities in the college include two panels, "Internship
Opportunities," on Tuesday, Oct. 19, at noon and "Opportunities in
International Business," on Thursday, Oct. 21, at noon. Both discussions
are in the Alumni Room of South Hall. Free hot dogs will be available.
Also, on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the college will host
a welcome reception in the Alumni Room of South Hall before the football game
against UW-Stout. The reception will include tours, coffee, and dedication of
art work.
Also during the week, the college's five student organizations, the Business
Association, the Association for Computing Machinery, the Accounting Society,
the Student Economics Society and the Society for Human Resource Management
will meet to discuss career opportunities in their specific fields.
