German Club 2007-2008
The German Club is open to all members of the UWRF community. The Club
seeks to bring together students with an interest in the German language
and German-speaking cultures. The Club is a social organization where
like-minded people can enjoy fellowship together. Students gather to have
“game nights” for scrabble or other games. The Club shows
German movies and has a conversation table when schedules allow. The Club
supports outings to museums, restaurants, and cultural events. Some members
teach the basics of the German language to grade school students. The
Club also raises funds through bake sales for the UWRF German scholarship.
Membership ranges from 20 to 40 students. Currently there are 42 students
on the German club interest list supplied by Student Life.
2007-2008 officers are:
Jaymie Stocks President jaymie.stocks@uwrf.edu
Becca McCombie Vice President rebecca.mccombie@uwrf.edu
The club is looking for a secretary and is now open to nominations for
that spot.
