ELECTRONIC JOURNAL DATABASES
The following electronic indexes and full-text databases are available on the library's journal articles web page. Below are tips on how to search databases for lesson plans.
ERIC, the U.S. Department of Education Educational Resource Information Center Database, contains abstracts and selected fulltext in the field of education, 1967 to present. To search for lesson plans, go to the Basic Search Screen and enter:

Columbia Education Center Lesson Plans Large collection of lesson plans created by teachers for use in their own classrooms.

IDEAS (Interactive Dialogue with Educators from Across the State) Provides Wisconsin educators access to high-quality, highly usable, teacher-reviewed web-based resources for curricula, content, lesson plans, professional development and other selected resources.
Lesson Plans and Resources for Social Studies Teachers An extensive list of links maintained by a Professor Emeritus of Education from California State University.
A searchable, annotated subject directory of more than 9,000 Internet resources selected and evaluated by librarians for their usefulness to users of public libraries. In the search box, type “lesson plans,” or, for a more focused search, add a subject term: “english lesson plans.”
The Learning Network has developed lesson plan units that use recent New York Times articles as springboards for examining important curricular topics in interesting and exciting ways. Use the lessons in these units in your classroom, or share them with teachers in other content areas and collaborate on interdisciplinary units. The archive contains hundreds of free lesson plans for grades 6-12.
