 Depositor Library 

The Chalmer Davee Library was designated as a Federal Depository Library in 1962. Through the Federal Depository Library Program the library serves the federal government information needs of the students, staff and faculty of the University of Wisconsin- River Falls, the 3rd Congressional District of Wisconsin, residents of Wisconsin and the surrounding St. Croix valley.

Major Databases 

Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (CGP)   U.S.G.P.O. is the finding tool for electronic and print publications from the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of the U.S. government. The CGP contains descriptive records for historical and current publications and provides direct links to those that are available online. Scope More than 500,000 records generated since July 1976 are contained in the CGP and it is updated daily. The CGP is the online counterpart of the Monthly Catalog of United States Government Publications , which dates from the passage of the Printing Act of 1895. At present the printed Monthly Catalog should be consulted for pre-1976 indexing.

GPO ACCESS
Produced by the Government Printing Office  (U.S.G.P.O) this database includes: full text of Congressional Bills, Congressional Record, Federal Register, General Accounting Office Reports, History of Bills, Public Laws, the United States Code and much more.

EIS: Digests of Environmental Impact Statements UWRF Licenced Resource Extracts key issues from federal government environmental impact statements (EIS), converting these documents into concise abstracts. Each entry includes a clear description of the project, sections on positive impact and negative consequences, and legal mandates. This database covers EIS from 1985 on.

Historical Statistics of the United States Millennial Edition Online UWRF Licenced Resource provides access to access data on social, behavioral, humanistic, and natural sciences including history, economics, government, finance, sociology, demography, education, law, natural resources, climate, religion, international migration, and trade - quantitative facts of American History.

Homeland Security Digital Library (HSDL) is the nation's premier repository of policy related documents on homeland security. It is organized to support local, state and federal decision-making and analysis and structured to assist scholars and academics in homeland security research.

LexisNexis Academic UWRF Licenced Resource
Provides full text access to Federal case law, Federal regulations, U.S. Attorney General Opinions, U.S. Code, U.S Constitution, Federal Court Rules, Federal Courts Tax Cases and SEC Filings. LexisNexis: Academic is the Web based version of the LexisNexis database tailored for academic use which covers over 5,000 publications. The service covers news, legal research, medical, business, reference and a complete content list is available that includes the dates of coverage.

LexisNexis Congressional UWRF Licenced Resource
A comprehensive bibliographic database for U.S. legislative information beginning in 1970.  For information on Hearing coverage see: LexisNexis Congressional Committee Hearing FAQ.

LexisNexis Statistical UWRF Licenced Resource
LexisNexis Statistical provides comprehensive access to statistical information.   The service allows users to search summaries of statistical publications and full text of selected publications on LexisNexis: Statistical and government Web sites.  UW-RF subscribes to all  three major modules of this database in the LexisNexis: Statistical which provide bibliographic access to all statistics issued by the U.S. government back to 1973 through the American Statistics Index (ASI). It also includes 1,000 of the best statistical publications of private and state government sources from 1980 forward through Statistical Reference Index (SRI).  And approximately 2,000 titles from some 100 international intergovernmental organizations, all published  annually since 1983 through Index to International Statistics (IIS).

STAT-USA
Provides access to State of the Nation, GLOBUS and NTDB. These resources provide access to current and historical economic data, financial releases, information on the U.S. Economy, current and historical trade-related releases,  international market research, trade opportunities, country  analysis, and the STAT-USA trade library.

THOMAS (Library of Congress)
Search Congressional bills, laws, and reports; Congressional Record; How Bills Become Law, C-SPAN; and House and Senate Web services.

USA Trade Online
Contains export and import data between the United States and other countries. Does not include statistics on trade between foreign countries.

AgNIC  (Agriculture Network Information Center) is a distributed network that provides access to agriculture related information, subject area experts, and other resources. It was established by an alliance of the National Agricultural Library, land-grant universities, and other organizations committed to facilitating public access to agricultural and related information.

Briefing Room, U.S. Agricultural Trade, contains general information and data on U.S. agricultural trade with all the countries and regions of the world.   Data are from the Foreign Agricultural Trade of the United States (FATUS) and the Agricultural Outlook are included.

Census of Agriculture

USDA Economics and Statistics System housed at the Albert R. Mann Library, Cornell University.  Contains nearly 300 reports and data sets from the economics agencies of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. These materials cover U.S. and international agriculture and related topics. Most reports are text files that contain time sensitive information. Most data sets are in spreadsheet format and include time series data that are updated yearly.

Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA)  includes data which for key national, international, and regional aspects of the U.S. economy.
