Start with SuperSearch quick sets, select the Environment + Earth Science radio button, this will do a simple search of several of the licensed databases. It is an excellent way to discover which resources work for a topic. Also try the try the Newspapers + Pop Mags SuperSearch quick set for information information covered in the popular media.
For specific databases choose SuperSearch Custom Search, Environmental Science or review all resources by going to Find Resources. To read descriptions of databases in SuperSearch click the

Biological Abstracts, Environmental Sciences & Pollution Management and the Web of Knowledge are highly recommended for this class. Both will lead to scholarly articles. Major DatabasesEIS: Digests of Enviromental Impact Statements: extracts key issues from federal government environmental impact statements (EIS), converting these documents into concise abstracts. Each entry includes a clear description of the project, sections on positive impact and negative consequences, and legal mandates. This database covers EIS from 1985 on.
