Chalmer Davee Library Online Catalog. Access the Chalmer Davee Library's collection, view your university library account, renew materials, plus more. Pick up books at nearest UW library or local public library.

Universal Borrowing Book Request.[see left side of page] Search other UW libraries and have books delivered in 3-5 days to the UW library nearest you. No home delivery--pick up materials at UW library closest to you. IMPORTANT: If you wish to place a UB requests, you will need to have your entire UWRF ID number (different than your W-number). This number is printed on your student ID card. If you do not have an ID card, you can obtain your UWRF ID number via email. Please email Julianne Johnson at the Library's Circulation Desk (julianne.k.johnson@uwrf.edu. She will send you an email with your UWRF ID number.

Interlibrary Loan Article/Book Request. [see right side of page] Request books and articles from libraries nationwide.NOTE: please make sure to indicate your are a Distance Learning student in the NOTES section of the form! IMPORTANT: If you wish to place interlibrary loan requests, you will need to have your entire UWRF ID number (different than your W-number). This number is printed on your student ID card. WorldCat. A huge database of library catalogs worldwide. Use your Falcon Account information to log-on when prompted. If possible, these books will be delivered to the public or university library closest to your home. NOTE: please make sure to indicate your are a Distance Learning student in the NOTES section of the form! netLibrary/E-Text Collections. Access to 1,000's of online books and texts. You will have to call the Research Help Desk to set up an account before you can use this product.

Course Reserves. Articles placed on reserve by your professor.

SuperSearch

Find scholarly jounal articles and newspaper articles using SuperSearch. What is SuperSearch? SuperSearch is a way to search up to 8 different informational resources simultaneously. For example, you can search the Library's catalog, Academic Search Premier or any of the Library's online resources all at one time. You can even create your own combinations of informational resources for searching, and you can save your research in your very own folders for future use.

Remote Access Trouble-shooting Guide. Are you having trouble using library resources from an off-campus computer? Click on this guide for help.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE TO DISTANCE LEARNERS: If you find an article in a database that is NOT full text, but is available in the Library's paper journal collection (you can determine this via the Find It/SFX button), we understand that you may not be able to physically come to the library to copy it. We can email the article to you instead. To do this from the Find It screen, click on the Interlibrary Loan link. Complete the form. IN THE NOTES SECTION, TYPE "DISTANCE EDUCATION STUDENT." This will indicate to the librarian that you are NOT able to get to campus and retrieve the article yourself. If you forget to do this step, she will send you an email telling you to go to the library and copy the article yourself. If you indicate you are a DE student, the article will be sent electronically to your UWRF email account, usually within 5 days.
