WPCA-FM Endowed RADIO NEWS Internship

Summer 2008

General assignment reporting for WPCA-FM, a non-profit radio station at Amery, Wisconsin, serving Polk County.

Intern is expected to work a minimum of 280 hours for 10 weeks for $2,800. Weekly hours, and beginning and end dates to be negotiated with WPCA.

Student must have completed JOUR 203 and be a self-starter who excels at generating story ideas and meeting deadlines.

May be taken for academic credit, but not required. If taken for academic credit (JOUR 379), a grant would pay for the 3-credit tuition. Information about academic internships

The internship is funded through a generous gift from Donovan Rasmussen, a former student at UW-RF in the 1940s.
