The University of Wisconsin-River Falls, a member of the University of Wisconsin System , is located 30 miles from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul in scenic west central Wisconsin . UWRF ' s 6,400 undergraduate and graduate students pursue degrees in four colleges: Arts and Sciences; Education and Professional Studies; Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Science; and Business and Economics. The Position:
This is a full time, 12 month, professional academic support position that reports to the Assistant Director of Student Support Services. Duties include: working with the Assistant Director to ensure program goals and objectives are met, coordinating student services on campus, assisting with student recruitment, supplemental advising/coaching students and communicating with parents, maintaining files and preparing reports, planning and participating in workshops and seminars, chaperoning events and field trips. Reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory performance and available funding.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree required, minimum of 2 years in student support role may be considered an asset, public speaking proficiency, certification in teaching as well as experience in counseling and/or social work may be considered assets, demonstrated experience working with high school and/or college students, low income students, students of color, students with disabilities, and/or ESL students; excellent communication skills; basic computer skills in word processing, databases and spreadsheets desirable.
