Dr. Perkins has taught courses in Health & Fitness For Life, Teaching of Family Life & Human Sexuality, and Techniqes of Secondary Education: Health Education.

HHP advisor. Advises transfer students prior to attending UW-River Falls and is responsible for approving all substitutions.

Dr. Perkins is also the Head Coach for the UW-River Falls Softball team and is the winningest softball coach in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Falcons repeated as Wisconsin Women's Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champions and NCAA Division III national championship qualifiers in 1993 and 1994. Under Perkins, the softball team has had 62 All-American Scholar-Athletes. In 2004, Perkins was inducted into the Iowa State University Athletic Hall of Fame. As a Cyclone, she earned nine athletic letters in track and field (1), softball (4) and basketball (4). In 1987, Perkins was inducted into the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union Softball Hall of Fame.

Member of: AAHPERD since 1979, Midwest District AAHPERD (various leadership positions and presentations), WAHPERD since 1988 (various leadership positions and presentations), NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association), and Wisconsin in Scotland faculty member (Spring 1998, Fall 2001 & Summer 2005).

Her husband, Joe McIntosh, and two sons, Paul and Bobby, enjoy many outdoor activities such as horseback riding, biking, rollerblading, downhill skiing, camping, traveling, hiking, soccer, ice hockey, and, of course, softball.
