UWRF Financial Resources
- Loans and some grants are available through UWRF’s Office of Financial Aid, 315 North Hall, www.uwrf.edu/financial-assistance . In order to be considered for aid, you must have a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file with UWRF. The application is online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. In addition to the FAFSA, you must complete the “Additional Expense Form – Study Abroad”, which is available online at the UWRF Office of Financial Aid website. Most students qualify for some type of loan.
- A Study Abroad Grant is available for Wisconsin residents who are enrolling as a full time student in a semester, J-term, or Summer study abroad program. Grant amounts vary, but typically are between $500 and $1,000. Grant funding is limited, but the office makes every attempt to award all eligible students. For more information on this program, write to finaid@uwrf.edu.
- The College of Arts & Sciences Stipend for International Study Abroad is available to students with at least one full semester with a declared major in the College of Arts & Sciences (or Secondary Education majors) who have completed 45 credits by the time of application, and have a minimum GPA 2.75. The award may be up to $1,000. An essay and letter of support are required with the application. Go to the college Web site for more information and details. http://www.uwrf.edu/cas/studyabroad.htm
