All new students are encouraged to attend Weeks of Welcome (WOW) which begins at 9:00a.m. on Monday, September 1st and continues through Academic Day on Tuesday, September 2nd.

During the WOW program students have the opportunity to learn about campus resources, find classrooms, attend informational and fun programs, meet faculty/staff, and have fun! You'll learn a lot about getting off to a successful start at UWRF - don't miss this opportunity to get connected to campus and meet other new students!

Non-Traditional and transfer students can participate in the full program outlined below or choose one of our alternative options.

The fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down! Each night is filled with an array of opportunities just for new students. Hypnotists, musicians, recreational opportunities, and more await you at UW-River Falls. There will be plenty of things to do, so take advantage of it all! Check out the schedule of events below for more information.

WOW doesn't stop as school starts! Keep an eye out for WOW: Service on the Kinni and additional WOW activities during the first couple weeks of the semester.

Sunday, August 31	New Student Move In
8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.	New Student Residence Hall Move-In
8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.	Weeks of Welcome Check In (University Center) Be sure to check in for WOW. You'll receive your WOW schedule, group leader information, UWRF planner, instructions for textbook pick up, and more.
10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.	Textbook Pick Up (Textbook Services)- ON YOUR OWN Grab your backpack and head over to the lower level of Hagestad Hall to pick up your textbooks for the fall semester.
TBD	Residence Hall Meetings (on-campus students) and Dinner
8:00 p.m.	Outdoor Movie (Amphitheatre): Join your classmates for an outdoor movie and snacks!

Monday, September 1	Weeks of Welcome Begins
9:00 a.m.	Meet your WOW Leader in the Amphitheatre.
10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.	WOW Activities: Ultimate Road Trip, C.L. Lindsay, Student Success Discussions, Preacher Moss, Classroom Search, Get-To-Know-You, Meals, and much more!
7:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.	Evening Entertainment: Hypnotist Frederick Winters, Bingo in the Ballroom, and singer/songwriter Jason LeVasseur

Tuesday, September 2	Academic Day
9:30 a.m.	Meet your WOW Leader: Students living on campus: Meet in the lobby of your Residence Hall Students living off campus: Meet in the Entertainment Complex, University Center
10:00 a.m.	Academic Day begins
10:00 a.m.	Chancellor's Welcome
10:30 a.m.	Introduction to College and the Academic Experience
11:30 a.m.	Lunch and Involvement Fair
4:30 p.m	Block Party: Food, Music, and Fun with friends!
