NEW STUDENT MOVE-IN VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
Thanks for your interest in helping during New Student Move In on Sunday,
August 31, 2008. We are excited to have you help us welcome our
new students and families to campus. Here are some additional details
about the day:
Please arrive at the appropriate time for the shift
you've selected. Prior to the start of your shift, we will provide
a brief training, distribute Tshirts, review expectations, and assign
you to a move in location.
Move-in Crew #1 (8:00 a.m.until 10:00 a.m.)
Arrival and Training: Kinni Theatre, UC at 7:30 a.m.
At Move-In Location: 8:00 a.m.
Move-in Crew #2 (10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.)
Arrival and Training: Kinni Theatre, UC at 9:30 a.m.
At Move-In Location: 10:00 a.m.
Move-in Crew #3 (12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.)
Arrival and Training: Kinni Theatre, UC at 11:30 a.m.
At Move-In Location: 12:00 p.m.
Move-in Crew #4(2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.)
Arrival and Training: Kinni Theatre, UC at 1:30 p.m.
At Move-In Location: 2:00 p.m.
All Crews released at 4:00 p.m.
T-SHIRTS: All volunteers will receive a Move-In T-shirt.
MEALS: Food and beverages will be available for purchase at
the food tent on the North Side of the University Center between 8am
and 4pm. Please plan to eat before or after your shift. If you're planning
stay all day, feel free to take a break when a new shift comes on. We
will also have a water cart on campus to insure that you remain hydrated
and healthy during your shift.
HOUSING: If you plan to live in the residence halls and are helping with New Student Move In, you can move into your room on Saturday, August 30th from Noon-3pm. Students unable to move in at this time, must receive approval from the Department of Residence Life.
