Academic Day: September 1, 2009
Academic Day is the first day of the academic year for all new students
and is very important for all new Falcons! During Academic Day you will
have an opportunity to jump-start your academic career at the University
of Wisconsin-River Falls.
You will gain a better understanding of what it means to be a UWRF
student while connecting with faculty and classmates in your area of
study. At the end of the day you will:
1) Know your academic advisor and how to contact him or her
2) Know the University and the resources available to you
3) Develop an understanding of your academic program and the expectations
of your program
4) Begin to network and form relationships with other students in your
area of study
We are excited to meet you and help you begin your journey as a new
college student.
