Continuing Student Scholarships
2008-2009
**Deadline to apply for scholarships has passed. Late submissions will not be reviewed.**
The process for applying for scholarships has changed this year. PLEASE READ THESE MESSAGES BEFORE APPLYING FOR ANY SCHOLARSHIP:
- CAFES has their own application and deadline date of December 14, 2007. Under Scholarship Listings, use the link on the college name or within each department to access the application.
- CAS, CBE and COEPS and All Majors Scholarships require you to complete an on-line application, unless specifically stated otherwise. The applications will be available December 17, 2007 and must be submitted by midnight, February 4, 2008.
- You must apply separately for each scholarship.
- The on-line link for each application appears directly under the description.
- Information regarding your grade level, GPA and major do not need to be included in your application. We will collect that information from eSIS.
- If the application includes a field for an essay, you MUST write one in order to be considered for that scholarship. Unless otherwise stated in the description, the essay should be about why you qualify for the scholarship. The essay must not be more than 600 words.
- If you are already receiving a RENEWABLE scholarship, you do NOT need to reapply for it. You will automatically be reconsidered.
- The University reserves the right to cancel the scholarship if the recipient no longer meets the published criteria for selection.
- Scholarship endowments and annual scholarships are managed through the UW-River Falls Foundation. Amounts are determined with a formula that takes into account the investment and market performance of the previous 12 quarters ending the third quarter of the calendar year. Some scholarships listed may not be awarded if it is determined at a later time there are insufficient funds.
