Dean Neal Prochnow Arts and Sciences Scholarship:
Awarded to a currently enrolled first time freshman at UW-River Falls who will return for the second academic year with a declared major in a discipline in the College of Arts and Sciences. The recipient must have a clear plan for graduation from UW-River Falls approved by their advisor and be active in department and university activities, or have begun to participate in research or creative activities in the department. A letter of support from a faculty member in their declared major must be submitted spearately to the Office of Financial Assistance. Preference given to first generation college students or students of color.


Arnold and Mary Nord Memorial Scholarship:
Based on scholarship, financial need, and potential for contributions in life, this scholarship is awarded on a rotating basis to a student who will be a junior or senior with a major in one or more of the following disciplines: Biology (2009-2010), Chemistry (2010-2011), Economics (2011-2012), and Physics (2008-2009). While the selection shall generally be according to the major in the year indicated, the donor reserves the right to select from all applications in any given year. Therefore, all majors may apply for the scholarship in any given year when the applicant meets all other criteria.


Barbara Preston-Broesder Studio Arts Enlightment Scholarship:
Awarded to a student who has completed their sophomore or junior year with a major in math or sciences, has successfully completed one course in the studio arts, and has exhibited a particular joy and enthusiasm in their artistic endeavor. Preference would be given to students who have enrolled in subsequent studio art courses. Financial need may be a consideration but is not a requirement,


Richard and Grace Swensen Scholarship:
Awarded to junior majoring in Broad Area Science, Chemistry, English or Communication Studies and Theater Arts.
