ENTRANCE/EXIT LOAN COUNSELING
FEDERAL STAFFORD LOANS & SELF LOANS:
ENTRANCE - Federal law REQUIRES all first time borrowers at UW-River Falls to complete Entrance Loan Counseling.
EXIT - Federal law REQUIRES Exit Loan Counseling for every student who has borrowed through the Subsidized Stafford Loan, Unsubsidized Stafford Loan, or SELF programs at UW-River Falls.
TO COMPLETE ON-LINE COUNSELING:
- Go to UW-River Falls Office of Financial Assistance home page at http://www.uwrf.edu/financial-assistance and select “Federal Stafford Loan Processing” from Quick links section.
- Follow the links identified by the icons that are appropriate to the session you need to complete (i.e., Entrance or Exit).
- Complete all section of the on-line counseling session. The results from your completed session will be sent electronically to the Office of Financial Assistance to indicate the completion of this requirement.
- If you have any questions concerning any aspect of the loan process, including your rights and responsibilities, please contact the office.
