UW-River Falls Foundation Scholarships

The UW-River Falls Foundation offers scholarships for application annually, financed by the contributions of alumni, faculty and staff, friends, parents, campus organizations, and corporations. The Foundation awards over 600 scholarships totaling close to $500,000. Scholarships are not exclusively based on financial need, so you do not need to complete a FAFSA to apply.

The UW-River Falls Financial Aid Office often receives information regarding scholarships not affiliated with UW-River Falls and can direct you to websites to help you to search for outside scholarships.

Beware for Scholarship Scams!
The Federal Trade Commission and the UW-River Falls Financial Aid Office caution you to watch for these common phrases often used in scholarship fraud:

"The scholarship is guaranteed or your money back."
"You can't get this information anywhere else."
"We just need your cedit card or bank account number to hold this scholarship."
"We'll do all the work for you."
"This scholarship search service will cost you $29.95."
"You've been selected by a 'national foundation' to receive a scholarship."
"You're a finalist" in a contest you never entered.

Remember: you should never need to pay to apply for financial aid.
