Please consider the following information when thinking about buying a laptop
Advantages of owning a laptop:
- Portability
- May be used on wireless networks, including the campus wireless network, FalconAir
Disadvantages of owning a laptop:
- Slower performance and less storage (hard drive space)
- Higher cost
- Much more vulnerable to damage and theft
- Repairs often take longer and require shipping them out
- There are fewer upgrade options and upgrades are usually more expensive
