Below is a list of suggested filename extensions for document
types that computer users on the UW-RF campus are likely to use while saving
a document. Filename extensions increase portability of documents and it is
highly recommended that these be used if you are exchanging files with other
computer
users or
moving
files
between
Windows
computers and
Macintoshes. This list (and the off-site link below) can be a handy reference
if you receive a document of an unknown type.
