What is NCASC?

NCASC is a student club that promotes the study, teaching, and application of the principles of communication through educational and social functions that are relevant to the membership of the club at both national and regional conferences to undergraduates.

Member's research papers are submitted, and presented at both the National Communication Association, National Conference, and the Central States Communication Association Regional Conference

The National Communication Association promotes effective and ethical communication. The Association supports the communication research, teaching, public service, and practice of a diverse community of scholars, educators, administrators, students, practitioners, and publics.

  • Wisconsin Communication Association Conference: Stevens Point, WI October 9, 2009
  • Alumni Week (same week as Theatre Alumni Night)
  • National Communication Association Conference: Chicago, IL November 12-15, 2009
  • Central States Communication Association Conference: Cincinnati, OH April 14-18, 2009
  • Communication Week: April 13-17
  • Senior Graduation Celebration: Wednesday, May 6

Achievements and Awards

  • Have had 21 students present papers at regional conferences
  • Have had one student present at the national conference
  • Have had one student place in the top 3 nationally for top NCASC paper
  • Won national “club of the year” award in 2007
  • Have brought communication professors from other Universities to speak
