Advocates for ChoiceAdvocacy: the active support of something, such as a cause, idea or policy. Would you like to gain experience with leadership, communications, event planning, problem solving, creativity, and diversity? Would you like to meet people, have fun, and gain skills and knowledge that will be useful in your career? If you are interested in joining your campus community in an effort to educate reproductive health and rights, then Advocates for Choice is for you! Did you know George W. Bush is the first U.S. president in history to sign a law that criminalizes safe abortion procedures, allowing no exception for a woman's health? Government's role should be to ensure—not deny—women's access to the full range of reproductive health services. We believe that private decisions about family planning and reproductive rights are a fundamental civil and human right. Join us and help to ensure access to emergency contraception, abortion, comprehensive sex education, condoms, birth control pills and other contraception. It's Pro-Choice or NO Choice! Meeting Time: Thursdays at 7 p.m. in the Student Center - St. Croix Room Events:
Leadership is needed in the following committees: Contact: Contact Kendra at uwrf_advocates4choice@yahoo.com for more information!
