Research Interests
My research interests focus on two areas: health and well-being in individuals with cognitive impairment and technology use in teacher education. In health and well-being in individuals with cognitive impairment, my research emphasized on educators’ perception about pain in children with cognitive disabilities, evaluation of non-verbal pain assessment tools using a modified quantitative sensory testing protocol. I am also a certified FACS (Facial Action Coding System) coder. FACS has been validated for assessing pain expression.
In technology use in teacher education, my focus is to examine how integration of advanced technology into teacher education enables preservice teachers to have meaningful learning, using theories and technology adoption models.
