In addition, UW Eau Claire students are expected to attend an
all day non-credit communications workshop with UW River Falls
students at UWRF on a Saturday in February one time during their
studies. This workshop will focus on communicating with parents
and colleagues in EC settings.
Post Bachelaureate students earning the add-on 809 and Birth through Eight general education licenses will be required to complete student teaching experiences.
When possible the special education and the general education
student teaching experiences will be combined in one general education classroom
where students with disabilities are supported by a special education
teacher. The site selected will meet student enrollment criteria
established for the dual program. Student teaching site must be approved by Dr. Dee McCollum, UW-RF and
Dr. Jill Prushik Certification Office, UW-EC.
