Welcome to the Alumni Association
The UW-River Falls College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences Alumni Association was organized in 1983. It operates under the leadership of a nine member Board of Directors elected by members. The Board also includes two ex officio members, an executive secretary and the Dean of the College. The Association exists under the auspices of the UWRF Alumni Association and UWRF Foundation. By-laws are available to any member upon request.
Purpose of the Alumni Association:
- to facilitate the exchange of information among the alumni and friends of the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences;
- to encourage interest and support for scholarships, teaching improvements, research, extension programs, and international agriculture;
- to assist in establishing program priorities and facilities in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences;
- to develop networking to aid in college recruitment and enhancement of a state leadership role for the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences; and
- to promote events and activities for alumni and friends to renew friendships and identify common concerns.
Programs and Projects
- Annual CAFES Awards Banquet
- Spring breakfast to recognize graduating seniors in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences
- Annual Gary E. Rohde CAFES Alumni Association Scholarship
- Annual $500 grant to Agricultural Technology Contest
- Financial support and informational articles for the Fence Post Newsletter
- World Dairy Expo and Farm Technology Days participation
- Financial support for the remodeling of the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences student lounge
- Supports College programming needs
