Requirements for an Criminal Justice Minor
Students who are Sociology Majors with a CJ minor must also compete the following courses:
Intro to Sociology (Soc 100) OR Intro to Anthropology (Anth 100) (general education course not counted as credits in the minor)
Intro to Criminal Justice (CJ 202)
Juvenile Justice (CJ 320)
Criminology (CJ 322)
Trends/Issues in Incarceration (CJ 430) OR Alternatives to Incarceration (CJ 435)
Law Enforcement Certification Internship (CJ 376) OR Criminal Justice Internship (CJ 379)
In addition, 6 credits must be taken from the following:
Deviant Behavior (Soc 218)
Gangs in the U.S. (CJ 310)
White Collar Crime (CJ 360)
Power & Inequality (Soc 445)
Abnormal Psychology (Psyc 325)
Intro to Public Administration (Pols 225)
State & Local Politics (Pols 253)
Women & the Law (Pols 354)
Constitutional Law (Pols 416) In no case may a course be double counted for credit in both the CJ minor and the sociology major .
