There are a number of skills that I've used to help me get where I am today. Hard work, flexibility, and the willingness to take risks have helped me land my dream job - working with college students. However, most people have 4-7 career changes in their lifetime, so there is more than one job that is a perfect fit for me. I have a variety of skills that can be used in any work environment.
Communication Skills:
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills by developing rapport and assisting over 100 clients per semester.
- Demonstrate effective public speaking skills while presenting at national conferences, Faculty/Staff Development Day, and in classroom settings and workshops.
Leadership Abilities:
- Recruit and hire students who best fit the job criteria, as evidenced by the
fact that no Peer Advisor has ever been fired or left their position before graduation.
