Two Stories Diversity Committee
- Organized speakers for workshops focused on "collaboration, activism, and strength" for the following diverse student groups and their advisors: Diversity Awareness Committee, African-American Alliance, Asian American Student Association, Gay/Straight Alliance, Gender Equity Council, Latino Student Association, and
the Native American Council.
- Coordinated workshops for faculty, staff, and students that were focused on creating and fostering a safe and diverse community.
Chancellor's Award Committee
- Collaborated with a team of faculty, staff, and students to select and interview deserving students for the Chancellor's Award. This prestigous award is the highest nonacademic honor a student can receive at UWRF. It is given to students for their leadership and service to the university while on campus.
Plan 2008 Diversity Committee
- Tracked the university's progress towards diversity initiates and goals, and reported progress to the Univeristy of Wisconsin System.
Multicultural Advisors Committee
- Met with fellow faculty and staff members who served as Advisors to the seven diversity student organizations on campus.
- Strategized ways to strenghten organizations' membership, collaborate with other organizations, and support groups that experience discrimination or intolerance.
Discovery Night Committee
- Planned and organized a six-week retention program geared towards undecided first year students. This successful program retained all students who participated except for one -- this student left to pursue a major not offered at our university.
- Created and implemented activities that helped students connect to the campus and facilitated their choosing majors and/or careers.
- Conducted follow-up sessions to assess students' success and assist with any developmental issues/concerns they had.
