The effect is that children see animals as pets and friends and
not as the source of their food. They don’t understand
the food and fiber system.

In this article, no one in particular is trying to solve the problem.
The author is challenging agricultural educators to help solve
the problem.
What solutions are recommended or attempted?
The author urges us (agricultural educators) to communicate the
right message to people. When we participate in activities such
as petting zoos, we need to inform the children of the purposes
of the animals.
What results from these solutions?
The results will be children and a society who understand where
their food comes from. It will achieve the goal that is mentioned
in the article, “All students are conversationally literate
in agriculture, food, fiber, and natural resources systems.”
Is the problem solved?
The problem is not solved because of this article. This article
