REFERENCE LETTERS

November 25, 1998

I am very happy and honored to write this letter of recommendation for Deanna Stanek.  Last summer we had the pleasure of having her work at the Wisconsin Holstein office as our summer intern.  I can whole-heartedly give her my highest recommendation because of her performance during her internship.

Deanna was called upon to write articles for the Wisconsin Holstein News magazine, represent Wisconsin Holstein at shows, sales, Twilight Meetings, county meeting, fairs, dairy breakfasts and to help organize the Wisconsin Holstein Futurity.  She spent about 1/3 of her time out on the road.

I was most impressed with Deanna's ability to communicate her thoughts and feelings in her writing.  She wrote articles for us which included Breeder Interviews, Board of Director profiles and event coverage.  Deanna was extremely adept at capturing the primary points of interest.  She has the ability to make articles run smoothly from beginning to end.

Deanna is the type of person who will represent the Holstein Foundation well.  She made my job as Manager here easier because I didn't worry about sending her anywhere; I knew she would leave our members with a very favorable impression that bodes well for the association.

Deanna understands what needs to be done and accomplishes the assigned task; she asked questions when necessary but she grasped the concepts of the project quickly and could act independently to complete her assigned task.

Finally and maybe most importantly, Deanna is a kind, considerate person.

It is with no reservations at all that I would recommend Deanna Stanek for one of the Holstein Foundation Internships.

Sincerely,
Bruce Towns, Manager
Wisconsin Holstein Association

It is with great pleasure that I submit this letter of recommendation on behalf of Deanna Stanek.  I have known Deanna for the past four years and have had the privilege to work with her on various committees at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls as well as follow her personal work history.

This past summer Deanna interned with the Wisconsin Holstein Association as their Public Relations intern.  She used many of the skills she developed through college classes and activities to accomplish her job duties accordingly.  She was  responsible for coordinating events, leading activities, troubleshooting problems, evaluating programs, as well as writing articles for the Wisconsin Holstein News.

Deanna is very active in many organizations including:  Delta Theta Sigma Little Sisters, University of Wisconsin-River Falls Dairy Club, and Agriculture Communicators of Tomorrow.  She has developed strong leadership and organizational skills that help her lead her organizations in the right direction.  I have observed many situations in which Deanna was asked to serve as pat of a team. In those leadership roles, she expressed herself clearly, considered input from others thoughtfully, and negotiated effectively to make decisions and solve problems.

In summary, Deanna is a very dedicated individual to each organization she represents and I have no reservation in recommending her to you as a good employee and a fine individual.

Sincerely,
Kari Ann Skiba
Communications/Public Relations Coordinator
