Master of Business Administration
Standard Application
Admission requirements:
- Bachelor degree from an accredited university;
- Minimum overall undergraduate
GPA of 2.75 (4 point scale) or minimum GPA for last 60 credits of 3.00
(4 point scale);
- Two years post baccalaureate work experience;
- GMAT score; and,
- Required TOEFL: 550 paper or 80 internet-based test for international students from non-English speaking countries.
One of the following conditions must also be met:
- The student has a bachelor degree in a field of business or accounting
(demonstrated with academic transcript).
- The student has completed the undergraduate business core (demonstrated
with academic transcript-accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing,
math and statistics).
- The student has adequate professional experience in each of the business
core areas. The applicant will provide the following information and meet
with a Master of Business Administration Foundation Committee to discuss the professional
experience.
Please provide a narrative description of your professional experience.
The narrative will include names of employers, dates of employment, job titles,
and a detailed job description. Please provide your name at the top of
each page.
- If the student does not meet any of the above conditions, the student
must do one of the following.
Note: If the deficiency is in only part of the
core, then that part must be completed in one of the following ways.
A. Complete
an approved undergraduate business core (or the deficient part) at UWRF or
another university.
a. Foundation Courses at UWRF
A passing grade in one of the following UWRF
courses will meet Foundation Course requirements.
Economics 226 – Statistics
Economics 201 – Economics
Accounting 231 & 232 – Accounting or
Accounting 201 – Accounting
Management 300 – Management / Org. Behavior
Marketing 310 – Marketing
Finance 345 – Finance
b. Foundation Courses at Other Universities
You may meet the foundation
requirement by taking appropriate undergraduate or graduate courses at
other universities. We suggest you check with us regarding application
of courses before you take them. Please contact the Master of Business Administration
Director regarding these courses.
B. Complete the MBA foundation courses
(or the deficient part) at another school.

C.
Score at or above 50 on CLEP exams for the business core courses:
a. Principles
of Accounting - Accounting (Financial and Managerial)
b. Principles of Management - Management / Organizational Behavior
c. Principles of Marketing - Marketing
d. Principles of Microeconomics - Economics
