The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business has renewed UWRF's accreditation for an additional five years. The college first received accreditation in 2007. Currently, fewer than five percent of the world's business schools have AACSB International accreditation. To be accredited by the AACSB signifies that the College of Business and Economics is one of the best business schools in the world.
Dr. Glenn Potts, Dean of the College of Business and Economics, states that the accreditation recognizes the exceptional education CBE offers its undergraduate and graduate students. "The accreditation ensures our students that they are receiving a top-quality education," he states.
It also ensures employers that AACSB-accredited business school graduates are ready to perform on day one. AACSB schools are recognized worldwide by top employers and recruiters.
To maintain the accreditation, AACSB-accredited schools must pass a rigorous review process every five years. A peer team visits the school and speaks with the faculty and students to assure that the school is measuring up to the standards specified by the AACSB.
"There are 21 standards that must be met," says Dr. Potts. "These relate to faculty qualification, strategic management of resources, interactions of faculty and students as well as a commitment to continuous improvement and demonstrated achievement of learning goals in degree programs."
AACSB accredited schools are recognized worldwide by top employers and recruiters.
