Welcome to the College of Arts and Sciences at UW-River Falls!

The mission of the College of Arts and Sciences is to provide for the education of the complete person, education for citizenship and leadership, education for a productive life and education for the love of learning. These are the primary values associated with a Liberal Arts education regardless of the discipline. We accomplish this mission through the efforts of an award winning faculty and staff and involved Dean's Office personnel by providing superb programs in the Humanities and Fine Arts (Art, English, Modern Language, Music, Communication Studies, Theatre Arts), the Sciences and Mathematics (Biology, Chemistry, Math, Physics), the Social and Behavioral Sciences (Geography-Mapping Sciences, History-Philosophy, Journalism, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology-Anthropology-Criminal Justice), and several Interdisciplinary Programs (Marketing Communications, Biotechnology, International studies, Ethnic Studies, Film Studies, Women's and Gender Studies).

The College of Arts and Sciences also coordinates with the College of Education and Professional Studies to offer teacher certification in numerous disciplines (e.g., art, English, modern language, music, biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, history, broad field social studies, broad field science). Finally, the College of Arts and Sciences lends critical support to UWRF Pre-Professional Programs in a number of areas (e.g., Pre-Engineering, Pre-Law, Pre-Medicine, Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Veterinary Medicine) and is a key player in UWRF's STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Program.
