Mission

The mission of the college is to
provide for the education of the
complete person, education for
citizenship and leadership, education for a productive life and education for the love of learning. These are the primary values associated with a Liberal Arts education regardless of the discipline.

Goals and Vision

Welcome to the College of Arts and Sciences at UW-River Falls!

The College of Arts and Sciences provides degree programs in the humanities and fine arts, the sciences and mathematics and the social and behavorial sciences. The college also provides the basis for a solid general education program for all UWRF students regardless of their areas of specialization.

Interdisciplinary majors are offered in marketing communications, biotechnology and international studies. Interdisciplinary minors include ethnic studies, film studies and women's studies, which are all served by the college.

Pre-professional programs are available in a number of areas.

The college provides high school and middle school teacher certification in art, English, modern language, music, communication studies, biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, history and philosophy, broad field social studies, broad field science, and international studies.
