Job Agent - Hire-a-Falcon System / Resume Referral Service

 

Set-up your account to receive a daily email list of all jobs that Career Services receives that day which match the types of jobs you are seeking. Jobs include work-study, student assistance, area part-time jobs, and hundreds of professional job and internship listings either submitted directly to UWRF by employers or compiled by UWRF Career Services from local, state, and national job boards. All positions are targeted to college students and degree holders.

How can I best use the Job Agent?

First, Conduct Your Search
We recommend only using only the "Position Type" field while setting-up a Job Agent, as some positions which enter the system may be unpredictably categorized and may be missed by your Job Agent if you are more specific with your search criteria.

Then Turn-On and Save Your Job Agent:

Use Job Agent for Notification: The Job Agent feature will ONLY send to you notification of jobs that have arrived into the Hire-a-Falcon System that day, or have been updated that day. It is recommended that job seekers enter the system and view the dozens of Work Study, Student Assistance and Area Part Time jobs that had been posted prior to setting-up a Job Agent. Most positions remain open and viewable in the system for 2-4 weeks.

TIP: Using Multiple Job Agents: Set-up multiple job agents to arrange how jobs are grouped in the automatic job agent email that is sent to you.

When will I receive my Job Agent email list?

At midnight each day the Hire-a-Falcon System automatically sends Job Agent email lists to students. Those emails contain only positions that were entered into the Hire-a-Falcon System that day.


Why does the job list sent to me look jumbled?

To properly view jobs sent to you by the Job Agent feature, your email account options must be set to view HTML emails. See below instructions...

Campus Squirrelmail Users:

  1. Enter your campus email
  2. Click on "Options"
  3. Click on "Display Preferences"
  4. Click "Yes" next to option "Show HTML Version by Default"
  5. Click "Submit" at bottom of page

Other Email Programs:

Follow instructions provided by that software to turn-on HTML viewing, or browse your email program's "Options" to turn-on this option.
