The University of Wisconsin-River Falls College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences (CAFES) has earned an outstanding reputation for excellence in education and service to the region, nation and the world since 1912 and is consistently ranked as one of the top undergraduate agricultural programs in the nation.
UW-River Falls (UWRF) features the only agricultural engineering technology program in the state, one of the largest dairy science programs in the nation, as well as an agricultural studies program that gives you the flexibility to design an individualized program.
Our facilities include excellent classrooms, general and specialized laboratories for different disciplines, computer labs, food processing plants, a greenhouse and laboratory farms which include animal and associated crop production enterprises which provide a vital resource for teaching and student employment. An arrangement with Case IH allows us to use the latest Big Red equipment and technology for use in our classrooms and on our farms.
Many of our faculty members have received public recognition as outstanding teachers and all are committed to teaching and learning. They work closely with students, helping them secure paid internships, which often lead to offers of full-time employment upon graduation.
Agriculture is not only related to food production, but areas like environmental protection and energy production. It's an exciting time to be in agriculture, where you can combine local work with global impact and enjoy many opportunities for growth and advancement.
