In July of 2002 a group of University of Wisconsin River Falls students participated in a Wool Kiln Design and Construction course. The course was lead by nationally-known ceramic artist and Professor of Art at UWRF Randy Johnston and kiln designer Donovan Palmquist. The first firing of the kiln is scheduled for the fall of this year. The project was sponsored by the office of Outreach and Graduate Studies and the College of arts and Sciences at the University of Wisconsin River Falls.
