UWRF Chemistry Family (and Alumni) Day

Chemistry Family Day is a day where alumni, current, and prospective students and families come together to share their experiences at UWRF. Current (and former) Chemistry faculty will be on hand to meet with attendees. Dr. Leilani (Welbes) Zart will be the keynote speaker. Dr. Zart is a graduate of UWRF and is current an Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Department at Wartburg College.

Events for the day begin with a continental breakfast at 9:30AM, Introductions, keynote speaker, a Chem Demons demonstration, lunch, and optional tours of the Chemistry Department facilities ending at 3PM.

Dr. Randy Johnston, UWRF Professor of Art and Interim Chair of the UWRF Art Department has been selected as recipient of the Distinguished Educator Award from the James Renwick Alliance and will be honored during the annual Spring Craft Weekend in Washington DC April 23-25.  Dr. Johnston is well known for his ceramics work.  To view his work and learn more about him, visit his Web site at www.randyjohnstonceramics.com.  We invite you to join us during one of the events that is open to the public during the Spring Craft Weekend, which is a symposium held at the Smithsonian American Art Museum from 10:30AM-12:30PM on Saturday, April 24.   Dr. Johnston will be a featured panelist during the symposium and will be talking about his craft. Please join us at this symposium prior to the Washington DC luncheon.

Class of 1960 Golden Jubilee Reunion

Friday, May 14 & Saturday, May 15, 2010
Attention Class of 1960! Join us in River Falls for your Golden Jubilee Reunion. A reception honoring the Class of 1960 as well as the UWRF Distinguished Alumni and Outstanding Teacher awardees will be held on Friday evening, May 14.

Saturday activities include a continental breakfast, time to reminisce, a bus tour of the community and campus, university update, and a luncheon. In addition to these activities, all 50th class reunion participants are invited to lead the processional during the spring commencement exercises on Satuturday, May 15.

Farm Technology Days (Pierce County-River Falls)
