Overall Contest Rules

Cell Phone Policy

• Cell phone use is absolutely prohibited during any CDE. If a student has a cell phone in their hand during any CDE, they will be disqualified. Cell phones must be turned off and remain in a pocket during the CDE.

Area Qualfying Contest Rules

• Students competing in FFA Qualifying contests must be FFA members
• Qualifying teams must have at least 3 members
• FFA Scan sheets will be used for the Dairy Cattle, Horse, and Livestock events. Contestents need to be familiar with how to compelte these sheets. Visit http://www.uwplatt.edu/org/ffa/cde/mistakes.html to see the common mistakes and how to correct them.

Scoring and Awards

• All students are eligible for individual awards.
• Team awards for the Agricultural Technology Contest are based on the top 2 individuals on a team
• Team scores for the area FFA Qualifying contests are based on the top 3 individuals and any team event.
• Award of Excellance scores are determined based on the Top 10 overall team scores.
