History
The Agricultural Technology contest (formerly called the Agricultural Techniques Contest) was initiated in 1961 for the purpose of providing an opportunity to Wisconsin vocational agriculture students to test their skills and knowledge in agriculture. 163 students from 17 high schools participated in the first contest.
