**Contestants MUST have a clipboard for the scan sheets
AND a calculator for the Swine Pricing class.
** No pens, only No. 2 pencils
Oral reasons will be given for one class: FFA QUALIFYING ONLY
The Livestock Evaluation and Selection Contest will consist of the following classes:
- Breeding Ewes: one class of ewe lambs or yearling ewes to be judged on the basis of type and production records.
- Beef Heifers: one class of heifers to be judged on the basis of type and production records.
- Crossbred Gilts: one class of crossbred gilts to be judged on the basis of type and production records.
- Market Swine: one class of market swine (barrows and/or gilts) to be judged on the basis of market type.
- Market Lambs: one class of market lambs (wethers and/or ewes) to be judged on the basis of market type.
- Steers: one class of steers to be judged on the basis of market type.
- Cattle Grading: class of 5 steers or heifers to assign quality and yield grades.
- Cull-Keep Class: class of eight ewes, heifers, or gilts. Choose 4 to keep as replacement breeding stock.
