2008 Show Rules
show starts at 11:00AM Saturday and 10:00AM Sunday
showmanship to immediately follow Saturday's show
General Rules:
- The Block and Bridle Prospect Weekend is an open steer and heifer show.
- All cattle must have health papers meeting Wisconsin requirements.
- Electrical power is limited; we encourage the use of generators. Generators are not permitted in the barns.
- Junior showmanship is open to You ages 7-19 as of January 1, 2008.
- Cattle may arrive Friday, May 2, 2008, after 2:00 p.m.
- Cattle check in will be Saturday from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
- Cattle to be shown within a breed class must have a certificate of registration from their breed association.
- The UWRF and U of M Block and Bridle Clubs are not liable for any losses.
- All rules are subject to interpretation by the show committee.
- All breeds with less than 5 entries will show in the AOB division.
- Exhibitors must provide their own bedding.
Heifers:
- Heifers will be shown by breed and age.
- Commercial heifers will be shown by weight.
- Registration papers are required for purebred heifers.
- Heifers must be born after September 1, 2006.
Steers:
- Steers will be shown by breed and weight.
- Registration papers are required for breed steers.
- Steers must be born after January 1, 2007.
***Animals not meeting all requirement/exhibitors not following rules will be asked to leave immediately!
