2008 Show Rules

show starts at 11:00AM Saturday and 10:00AM Sunday
showmanship to immediately follow Saturday's show

General Rules:
  1. The Block and Bridle Prospect Weekend is an open steer and heifer show.
  2. All cattle must have health papers meeting Wisconsin requirements.
  3. Electrical power is limited; we encourage the use of generators. Generators are not permitted in the barns.
  4. Junior showmanship is open to You ages 7-19 as of January 1, 2008.
  5. Cattle may arrive Friday, May 2, 2008, after 2:00 p.m.
  6. Cattle check in will be Saturday from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
  7. Cattle to be shown within a breed class must have a certificate of registration from their breed association.
  8. The UWRF and U of M Block and Bridle Clubs are not liable for any losses.
  9. All rules are subject to interpretation by the show committee.
  10. All breeds with less than 5 entries will show in the AOB division.
  11. Exhibitors must provide their own bedding.
Heifers:
  1. Heifers will be shown by breed and age.
  2. Commercial heifers will be shown by weight.
  3. Registration papers are required for purebred heifers.
  4. Heifers must be born after September 1, 2006.
Steers:
  1. Steers will be shown by breed and weight.
  2. Registration papers are required for breed steers.
  3. Steers must be born after January 1, 2007.

***Animals not meeting all requirement/exhibitors not following rules will be asked to leave immediately!
