The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Meat Pilot Plant offers all the benefits of full-scale plant production but on a smaller economic scale. Small quantities of potentially new products can be produced to minimize cost and waste associated with product development and research. It is a state licensed meat facility. It's main existence is to educate students in every aspect of meat processing from sanitation and meat fabrication to sausage production and sales. Operations of this facility produces many products that are offered for sale to the general public. UWRF Meat facility offers an annual meats short course which allows processors to share their knowledge and learn new processes. The meat facility offers meeting rooms, catering, and labs to aid in designing courses to meet your needs.
