Why I decided to attend UW-River Falls : UWRF has an amazing reputation for their education program, so that was the main reason.  I also liked the idea of small class sizes and that I would be more than just a number to my professors.

Favorite food served on campus: I love the gigantic salad bar!

Favorite feature of UW-River Falls : UWRF is a relatively small campus, so I love that you can really get to know your peers.  You can't walk anywhere on campus without seeing at least one person you know from class, your residence hall, or a club or organization you belong to.

Campus Involvement: I've been involved with Tomorrow's Educators, Student Wisconsin Education Association (SWEA), Intramurals, Summer Registration, and Campus Tour Guides since my freshman year.  This year I am involved in all of these plus I am now an First-Year Experience Student Manager and a part of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship.

Favorite professor: I absolutely loved Dr. Lee Karnowski because she was so sweet and kind.  You could tell she truly loved what she did and she brought out the best in all of her students' imaginations.

Favorite spot on campus: I love hanging out by the fireplace in the University Center.  There are always people around and its a nice place to hang out between classes or sit down for awhile and get some work done.

Favorite event on campus: My favorite event on campus is Family Day because it is a chance for me to show my loved ones what I'm up to, my favorite places on campus, and how great of a time I'm having!

Best reason to live on campus: There is no better way to meet new people and be in the loop about what is going on around campus.  Having grown up in River Falls, it was the best choice I could have ever made for my first year on campus because it got me out there and involved in new things.

Best thing about being a student at UW-River Falls : The best thing about being a student here is knowing you are part of a tight-knit community of students and faculty.

Advice to Incoming students : Get involved!  It is the best way to make your years here at UWRF memorable.  The opportunities you encounter can impact your future tremendously if you just decide to take advantage of them.  Also, take the time to check out the Study Abroad programs. I spent a semester in Scotland and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life!.
