Why I decided to attend UW-River Falls : I decided to come to UW-River Falls for a couple of reasons. The first reason is the scenery, I like the fact that the Kinnickinnic River runs through campus and that there are two state parks near by. The second is the strong reputation of the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Science.
Favorite food served on campus: Smoothies from Peregrine Perk.
Favorite feature of UW-River Falls: I really like the fact that River Falls is such a close community. It is really easy to meet new people and have fun.
Campus Involvement: Resident Assistant, Food Science Club, Agricultural Education Society, Intramurals, Tour Guide, UWRF dairy plant employee.
Favorite professor and why: My favorite professor is Dr. Wes Chapin, who teaches Political Science. In his classroom it doesn’t matter if you are a political junkie or could care less about politics, his way of teaching will draw in your interest.
Favorite spot on campus: I love either walking or jogging the trails on campus.
Favorite event on campus: Hypnotist, it is always one of the funniest events on campus.
Best reason to live on campus: . One of the best reasons to live in Residence Halls is that there is something for everyone. Residence Halls offer friends, fun, intramurals, study buddies and much more.
Best thing about being a student at UW-River Falls: The people I have met and the academic and recreation opportunities that are available to everyone.
Advice to incoming students: Get to know your professors outside of class and especially the ones within your major. A lot of professors really enjoy getting to know their students better, and it helps students understand what is expected of them in classes.
