Why I decided to attend UW-River Falls : I choose UW-River Falls because of the outstanding education program.
Favorite food served on campus: My favorite food on campus is the ice cream made on campus.
Favorite feature of UW-River Falls: The best feature of UW-River Falls is the involvement opportunities. There is something for everyone.
Campus Involvement: I am involved with Hall Council, the Residential Living Committee, the Early Years Enthusiasts Club, and the University Centers Committee. I am also a Tour Guide, Weeks of Welcome leader, and Desk Assistant at the Information and Involvement Center desks in the University Center.
Favorite professor and why: My favorite professor is Dr. Eileen Korenic who teaches Astronomy. Her class is never boring. Dr. Korenic has all kinds of techniques to keep her students’ interest. She does voices, dances, and tells jokes. She is awesome!
Favorite spot on campus: I like running and walking on the trails between Knowles and the rest of campus. It is especially beautiful in the fall when the trees are changing colors and there are leaves all over the trails.
Favorite event on campus: How do I pick? I guess if I have to choose I would say the athletic events. Hockey, Basketball, and Football are my favorite and are always a blast.
Best reason to live on campus: Living on campus is great! There are so many activities and events to get involved in while living in the residence halls. Plus it is really nice to be able to get up ten minutes before your eight o’clock and still make it to class on time.
Best thing about being a student at UW-River Falls: There are so many things I love about being a student at UW-River Falls. I am getting a great education, there are tons of ways of getting involved on campus, and most of all, I really feel like a part of a community here.
Advice to incoming students: Get involved on campus. You will meet so many new people and make a ton of friends. The best feeling is walking around campus and being able to say hello to the people you pass.
