Exploring Student Life
"My advice to incoming students would be to get involved! Join a club or organization, or simply attend any events put on! It is a great way to meet new people and to create your own college experience. " - Gwen DeRosier

Why I decided to attend UW-River Falls : I decided to attend UW-River Falls because of the smaller campus size
and also because I had this over whelming sense of belonging, of
feeling at home, when I stepped on campus. UW-River Falls also has an
excellent Elementary Education program.
Favorite food served on campus: The coffee and smoothie shop!
Favorite feature of UW-River Falls : My favorite feature of UW-River Falls is the campus and surrounding community. There is so much to discover and the atmosphere is relaxing and encouraging.
Campus Involvement: I am currently involved in Tomorrow's Educators, Tour Guides, Weeks of Welcome Leader, desk assistant for the residence halls.
Favorite professor: I have a few favorite professors, but Eileen Korenic, Mari Kline and Karla Zhe come to mind instantly. They are all really encouraging and great people.
Favorite spot on campus: On campus, my favorite spots are the walking/running trails by the intramural fields and the south fork of the Kinnikinnic River. Off campus: Glen Park.
Favorite event on campus: There are so many great events on campus, put on by resident assistants and other organizations and clubs on campus. My first time ice skating was here at UW-River Falls through an event put on by the recreation staff.
Best reason to live on campus: The best reason to live on campus is because you are able to meet so many people not only in your residence hall but in other halls and around campus. You make lifelong friends and it is truly a once in a lifetime experience in which everyone should take part.
Best thing about being a student at UW-River Falls : Like I mentioned before, the best thing about being a student at UW-River Falls is the sense of feeling at home, and all of the amazing people I have met and memories I have made. The professors are also really helpful and always available to meet with you and encourage you.
Advice to Incoming students : My advice to incoming students would be to get involved! Join a club or organization, or simply attend any events put on! It is a great way to meet new people and to create your own college experience.
