Why I decided to attend UW-River Falls :
I chose to attend UW-River Falls because of the size of the campus and community. Coming from a small town, this size campus suits me well. I grew up on a farm, so the College of Agriculture also lured me to come here.

Favorite food served on campus: My favorite food would have to be the ice cream from the Falcon Foods store. It is even made right on campus by UW-River Falls students.

Favorite feature of UW-River Falls: My favorite feature is the variety of student organizations that you can become involved in. There are over 160 of them to choose from. No matter what you like to do, the chances of finding one that interests you are pretty good.

Campus Involvement: Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, Crops and Soils Club, Agricultural Education Society, WOW Leader, Campus Tour Guide, and the University Soils Judging Team.

Favorite professor and why: My favorite professor is Dr. Bill Anderson. He is very knowledgeable about the material he teaches. Dr. Anderson also has a way of getting students involved in the classroom, which makes his classes more enjoyable.

Favorite spot on campus: The Leadership Center . There are computers to work on, couches to relax on, a TV, and all the supplies a person needs for almost any sign or poster. If I have a break between classes, the Leadership Center is where I spend a lot of my time.

Favorite event on campus: Definitely the hockey games. It's a great competitive atmosphere and simply a fun sport to watch.

Best reason to live on campus: You are so close to all the campus resources and your friends. Living on campus gives you an opportunity to meet new people in your residence halls and other organizations. In addition, there is usually always something to do while on campus.

Best thing about being a student at UW-River Falls: You get a chance to be out on your own and build those skills that will help you lead a successful life. You are truly not just a number in the class. Professors are always willing to help you in any way possible and care about what you do.

Advice to incoming students: Meet new people!! You only have four years to meet some of the greatest people who will become friends you have for the rest of your life. Don't be afraid to try something new or to get involved. There is so much to do around campus that you will have no problem finding something you like to do!!
