Why I decided to attend UW-River Falls : I chose River Falls because it was a small, friendly campus. I love how pretty the campus is in the fall and spring. I like how the campus is away from home, but close enough that I can go home if I need to.
Favorite food served on campus: Definitely the tuna wraps.
Favorite feature of UW-River Falls : My favorite feature about River Falls is the friendly students and staff on campus.
Campus Involvement: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Student Advisory Board for the College of Business and Economics, Campus Tour Guides, Weeks of Welcome Leaders
Favorite professor: My favorite professor was my Statistics professor, Hamid Tabesh. He has a great sense of humor which makes his class fun. He is very understanding with students and wants all of them to do well. Professor Tabesh always explained exactly what would be on his tests, so we would never be surprised!
Favorite spot on campus: On a bench by the Kinnickinnic River.
Favorite event on campus: Definitely the hockey games, comedy nights, and movie nights. There are so many events to choose from!
Best reason to live on campus: If you live on campus, you meet so many new friends who you end up spending most of your college life with!
Best thing about being a student at UW-River Falls : The best thing about being a student at River Falls would have to be having the chance to be
involved with so many organizations on campus while taking classes, and living with your friends in the halls!
Advice to Incoming students : I would recommend focusing on academics, but more importantly, meeting as many people as you can! The friends you make here, you will remember forever! And make sure you go to at least one Falcon hockey game!
