Greetings from UW-River Falls!
We are pleased that you have chosen the University of Wisconsin-River Falls for your college education. The following information explains the Regional Placement Testing Program. These tests are your next step in the enrollment process.
What? Placement tests are used to place you into appropriate English and math classes. All students are required to complete these tests, unless they have taken a college course in math and/or English composition. It is important that you do your best on these tests. If your scores are low, you will be required to take remedial classes.
Where? There are test centers throughout Wisconsin . You can take these tests at any test center listed; you do not need to take them at the UW school you plan to attend.
When? Check the Regional Testing Site Schedule for the dates. There are several dates available in March and April. Plan to arrive by 8:00 am. Late arrivals may not enter rooms once testing has begun so please be on time.
How? Starting on February 1, 2008, you can register online at http://www.testing.wisc.edu/ . Click on the Regional Placement Testing Program link and follow the directions. You will not be mailed a confirmation letter, so be sure to print off the information when you register.
UW-River Falls class registration for new freshmen will be held on June 9,10,12,13,16,17,19, 20. You will receive your placement scores at the registration program. We will send information on class registration in the middle of April. You must complete the English and math placement tests prior to registering for classes.
If you have decided not to attend UW-River Falls this fall, please let us know by sending an email to admit@uwrf.edu. Please be sure to include your full name and mailing address.
