General Topic: Compensation
Sub-topic: Overload assignments

Policy on Overload teaching:

Faculty members should not be scheduled to teach more than one course (3 or 4 credits) as an overload in any academic year.

As we prepare for the North Central Association visit and Reach for the Future, we must also determine policies associated with the following issues:

1. teaching load (overload for adjunct faculty
2. subcontracting of courses to consultants, and others
3. correct reporting of the "instructor of record"
4. faculty load equity (overloads and underloads)
5. extension salary schedule
6. Tier II courses
7. Common scheduling of courses and assignment of faculty
8. Administrative staff teaching students they employ
